HIGH SCHOOL SCIENCE LAB
Science Lab play an important role for the students to learn science practically. Science lab equipment allows students to interact directly with the data gathered. The Students get a first hand learning experience by performing various experiments on their own. Students are made to use the models and understand different scientific theories and concepts.
Well designed Laboratories not only make science experiments fun but also help students to achieve good academic results. Our Science Lab contains Well Designed Spacious Room, Equipment, Biological Specimens, Slides and Apparatus. Smart Class is also provided in our school. “Neatness, Orderliness and Cleanliness” is the Motto of Science Lab. The main purpose of laboratory work in science education is to provide students with conceptual and theoretical knowledge to help them learn scientific concepts through scientific method to understand the nature of science. Our science teachers instruct students to do experiments carefully and successfully.
PHYSICS LAB
Our school Physics Lab is very spacious of about 1300sq.feet area with proper ventilation, with the facility of 50 students can perform experiments at a time. Computer Projector is installed in the physics lab to enhance the students’ understanding. We conduct practicals for 400 students every year. For every experiment, we have minimum six sets of experimental devices. Electronic Gadgets used in our lab are digitalized. Other than the academic experimental devices, we have numerous instruments for demonstration purpose.
CHEMISTRY LAB
In our School Chemistry Lab reinforces the material what the students learn in class and gives them a chance to apply their knowledge by doing experiments and the teachers help them learn important experimental techniques. We have proper Chemical storage system to minimize hazards associated leaks, spills and accidental mixing of incompatible chemicals. The latest practical apparatus are used. The total area of our lab is 3200sq.feet. Our lab has 21 tables on which the students do experiments. Each table LPG Gas Connection with 42 Gas Bunsen Burners. At the same time, 42 students can do practicals individually. We provide the students plastic stools to sit and do their calculation. Our lab has 2 exhaust fans, 2 ceiling fans, 10 table lights and a 40 feet board which help them to perform experiments without fear and feel comfortable.
BOTANY LAB
Botany Lab has sufficient number of equipment and facilities. The total area of lab is 800sq.feet. Well Spacious and Well Ventilated Lab consists of a lot of Specimens, Microscopes, Permanent Slides, latest method of Physiological Experiments, Genetics Section, Cutting of Plants, Demonstration, Dissection etc. The lab activity also involves the Field Trips to study the Flora related to Medicinal and Economically important Plants in the surroundings region.
ZOOLOGY LAB
Our School Zoology Lab provides children with a rich variety of learning experiences in a safe, secure and stimulating environment, under the supervision and guidance of our expert teachers. The total area of the lab is 400sq.feet with 30 feet length and 20 feet breadth. At the same time, 25 students can do practicals individually. It is a well ventilated lab with a number of Compound Microscopes, Light Microscopes, Dissecting Boxes, Bottle Specimens, Hand Magnifying Lens, Skeleton Model and Necessary Chemicals.
COMPUTER SCIENCE LAB
Our school has a well furnished Computer Lab. Computer Lab is in rectangular configuration which allows the teacher to monitor students’ activity well. Our school computer lab is well equipped with 35 High-tech computers with UPS Connection, Projector, Smartboards, many Softwares and a variety of Peripherals are stored here, fully covered with glass doors and equipped with Air Conditioner (AC). Well experienced and qualified full time tutor facilities the students’ computer knowledge.
DRESS DESINGING
Vocational Education Weaving, Clothing and Dress Designing
Costume Designing Course was also started in 1981 in the Vocational Section at Seva Sangam Girls’ Higher Secondary School. There are 32 Sewing Machines for class XII and 22 Sewing Machines for class XI. All the Decorative Stitches and Hand Sewing are fully taught to the students in this section.
The history of the thread is taught with the pattern of weaving and with the types of fabric. The uniqueness of each dress is taught well in the sewing method to the students. More handicrafts are taught practically in this section. The teachers teach the parts of sewing machine also. Specialized training is provided to mend repairs on the sewing machines simply and quickly.
A comfortable and a suitable classroom is set up for the students. Each student is given a separate sewing machine to get better experience. Thus, Dress Designing Course is very useful and essential for the students and to their career.
TYPE WRITING
Our school Typewriting Classroom has been successfully functioning for many years. Our Typewriting Classroom is well equipped with 26 Typewriting Machines. With the help of this Classroom, the students learn how to operate Keyboard, Number Rows, Special Signs, Words Practice, Number Practice, etc. The students also learn how to write Statement, Invoice, Application, Business Letter, Resume, Auditor’s Certificate, Balance Sheet, Advertisement and Invitation. Our Typewriting teachers teach students how to clean and oil the machines. Thus, Typewriting Course has been successfully taught by our school teachers.
